What We Believe

We are Charismatic in practice. We believe that all gifts of the Spirit are relevant to today's Church.

(1 Corinthians 12-14; Romans 12:3-8; Ephesians 4:11-16)

We are Pentecostal in favor. We believe in the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Church is empowered

through the Holy Spirit to be agents of God. (Acts 1:8)

We are Loving in fellowship. We believe that one of the proofs of our discipleship is the love we have

for each other. (John 13:34-35)

We are Evangelistic in emphasis. We take Jesus' last command to go and make disciples of all nations

very seriously. (Matthew 28:19-20)

We are Bold in faith. We believe that through the help of the Lord, we can do the impossible. We

believe in the promises of God. We expect miracles in the name of Jesus. (Luke 1:37, 18:27)

We are Trinitarian in belief. We believe that there is only One God Who has revealed Himself in three

persons--God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

We are Ecclesiastical in structure. We believe in ecclesiastical covering. True Vine Church is under the

ecclesiastical covering of the Kingdom Council of Interdependent Christian Churches and Ministries (KCICCM).

What We Believe About Fasting

Biblical fasting is refraining from food for a spiritual purpose. For ages, fasting has been a normal part of a relationship with God. Fasting is an expression of wholeheartedness. This is made clear in Joel 2:12:

"Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart and with fasting."

We fast to demonstrate to God that we are seeking God with all our hearts. Fasting puts things in proper perspective. When we deny ourselves food in order to focus on God and His desires, we show humility. (Psalms 35:13, 1 Kings 21:29, Ezra 8:21) When we are concerned about the things of God, we will abstain from the enjoyment of food and humble ourselves to focus on what is important to God.

Our Commitment to Excellence

"That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such things; but that it should be holy and without blemish." Ephesians 5:27

True Vine Church is committed to being the best church possible as described in the Bible.

We are actively striving to be that glorious church that our Lord can present unto himself,

a church that is holy and without blemish.

We are committed to upholding the standards that are laid out for us in the Bible through

creative and innovative means of teaching, without compromising the Word of God.

We are committed to working for and with a diversified group of people, regardless

of their nationality or ethnic background. The Word of God is without racism; we are working

to tear down the walls of racism that have kept us divided for years.

We are committed to reaching the lost within our communities as well as reaching those in

foreign countries. We want to spread the Gospel of Christ to those who will hear so that lives

will be transformed and people will be blessed having come into relationship with the risen Savior.
